Reviewer Guidelines

The Journal of Comparative Studies and International Education (JCSIE) follows a double-blind review process. Submissions will be considered by the editors, then sent to at least two referees through our online system.

Manuscripts should focus on topics, issues, or questions related to comparative studies and international education. The JCSIE is a multi- and interdisciplinary journal that prioritizes manuscripts and book reviews that are global, glocal, international and/or comparative in nature.  Manuscripts will be reviewed based on significance and impact, advancement of the field, methods, relevance of findings or argumentation, and clarity and style. The reviewers receive a rating sheet that invites them to consider a manuscript in terms of scholarship, originality, significance, timeliness, data collection procedures, data analysis, discussions, clarity, coherence, and language and style.
