About the Journal

After several years of inactivity, the Journal of Comparative Studies and International Education (JCSIE) is being relaunched in pursuit of its mission to further international and comparative scholarship across all disciplines in education and social sciences.

The JCSIE is now a triannual journal with publications in March, July, and December.

The Journal of Comparative Studies and International Education (JCSIE) is a peer-reviewed, open-access journal dedicated to advancing global knowledge in education. Our mission is to provide a rigorous, interdisciplinary platform where scholars, practitioners, educators, administrators, and policymakers can engage in meaningful dialogue and share high-quality research.

JCSIE publishes original studies, theoretical and conceptual frameworks, field-based findings, and innovative practices related to comparative studies, international education, global learning, and transnational education. The journal values research that explores global, international, cross-cultural, intercultural, and glocal perspectives, highlighting both diversity and interconnectedness in educational systems around the world.

Our scope includes, but is not limited to, international issues in education, comparative and international adult education, community and vocational education, leadership in international learning environments, global citizenship education, intercultural learning, internationalization processes, higher education studies, education policy, technology-enhanced learning, and international human resource development.

Bringing together researchers from diverse countries, cultures, and academic traditions, JCSIE aims to strengthen international dialogue, promote comparative inquiry, and support innovative approaches to improving education globally. We remain committed to fostering insight, collaboration, and transformative thinking across educational contexts and disciplines.
